Website Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 6th May 2026

Welcome to McCullough Furniture. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

1. General

This website is owned and operated by McCullough Furniture, based in Northern Ireland.

Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to McCullough Furniture. “You” and “your” refer to the customer or visitor using this website.

We reserve the right to update or change these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page.

2. Products

All of our products are handmade using natural materials. As timber is a natural product, each item may vary slightly in colour, grain, figure, tone and appearance.

Photographs are intended to represent the product as accurately as possible. Where a product listing states that the photographs show the actual item, the item shown is the one you will receive. Where products are made to order, natural variation should be expected.

Small differences in size, colour, finish or grain are not faults, but part of the character of handmade wooden items.

3. Orders

When you place an order through this website, you agree that all information provided by you is accurate and complete.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order if there has been an error in pricing, stock availability, product description, shipping information or payment processing.

An order is not accepted until payment has been received and we have confirmed the order.

4. Personalised and Bespoke Items

Some products may be personalised, engraved, made to order, or produced to a customer’s specific requirements.

Please check all spelling, wording, dates, initials and details carefully before submitting a personalised order. We cannot accept responsibility for errors supplied by the customer.

Personalised, engraved, bespoke or custom-made items cannot usually be cancelled, returned or refunded unless they are faulty, damaged, or not as described. This does not affect your statutory rights.

5. Payments

Payments are processed securely through the payment methods available at checkout, such as Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, or other approved payment providers.

We do not store your full payment card details.

All prices are shown in pounds sterling unless otherwise stated.

6. Shipping and Delivery

We ship within the UK and internationally where available.

Shipping options, prices and estimated delivery times will be shown at checkout or stated within the product listing.

We aim to dispatch in-stock items as quickly as possible. Made-to-order, bespoke or personalised items may take longer, and any estimated timescale will be discussed or shown before purchase.

Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by postal services, couriers, customs checks, weather, strikes or other circumstances outside our control.

7. International Shipping, Customs and Duties

For international orders, the customer may be responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees or local charges applied in the destination country, unless the product listing or checkout clearly states otherwise.

Where a product is offered with Delivered Duty Paid, or DDP, this means that import duties and taxes for that destination are included in the price or shipping arrangement as stated on the relevant product page.

Where DDP is not stated, the customer is responsible for any import duties, taxes or customs charges due when the parcel arrives in their country.

Please check your country’s import rules before placing an order if you are unsure.

8. Returns and Cancellations

For non-personalised, non-bespoke items bought online, you normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods. NI business guidance confirms consumers generally have a 14-day cooling-off period for distance sales, and refunds must usually be handled within the required timeframes.

To request a return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.

Returned items must be unused, in their original condition and safely packaged. Unless the item is faulty, damaged or not as described, the customer is responsible for return postage costs.

Original standard delivery costs will be refunded where required by law, but upgraded or express delivery costs may not be refunded in full.

Personalised, engraved, bespoke or custom-made items cannot usually be returned unless they are faulty, damaged or not as described.

For full details, please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy.

9. Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged or appears to be faulty, please contact us as soon as possible with photographs of the item, packaging and any visible damage.

We will review the issue and, where appropriate, offer a repair, replacement or refund.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

10. Care of Products

Wood is a natural material and should be treated with care. Products should be kept away from excessive moisture, direct heat, prolonged strong sunlight and extreme changes in temperature or humidity.

We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidental damage, unsuitable storage, or failure to follow care guidance.

11. Intellectual Property

All images, text, designs, product descriptions, branding, logos and content on this website are the property of McCullough Furniture unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, use or distribute any content from this website without our written permission.

12. Website Information

We aim to keep all information on this website accurate and up to date. However, we cannot guarantee that all content will always be free from errors, omissions or inaccuracies.

We reserve the right to correct errors, update product information, change prices or withdraw products at any time.

13. Liability

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or from the purchase of our products.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

14. Privacy

Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland, unless consumer protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
