Handmade from solid Irish elm, this luxury Irish dancer jewellery box is a distinctive heirloom piece designed to be treasured for years to come. The elm used for this box was locally sourced, milled on my own sawmill, air-dried for several years and then kiln-dried before making. This careful process gives the timber stability while preserving its natural grain, warmth and character.
The lid features an elegant Irish dancer marquetry motif, handcrafted in walnut and sycamore veneer. Inside, the base is lined with dark charcoal faux suede for a refined finish, while the underside is also suede-lined to help protect polished surfaces. High-quality solid brass hinges, made in the UK, complete the piece.
An optional solid sycamore tray is available, as shown in the gallery.
